The Dragons Disabled Swimming Club is run independently and pays for its own pool hire as well as payments for its coaching staff. We are a competitive swimming club and all prospective members must be able to swim at least 25m without assistance.

All new members are given a month’s free trial for them to come to a decision as to whether they would like to become a full member or not.

After the first month's free trial, membership fees are currently set at £4.00 per week which works out at £208.00 a year. This is an annual recurring fee as opposed to a drop in and pay per session one. The fees are payable regardless of whether you have attended or not as the club needs to maintain the fees to cover our costs. We also hope that this policy will encourage a more regular attendance by our members.

Swim Wales Membership

It is a requirement that all members have to be registered with Swim Wales annually. New members are again given a month's free trial period without registering, but once the month is up you will have to register with Swim Wales, the governing body for swimming in Wales. If members have not been registered with Swim Wales we cannot allow them to swim until they have done so. Memberships run from April 1st - March 31st. Members who are already registered have to renew their fees by April 1st, otherwise, again they will not be allowed to swim. We aim to start collecting registration fees from the start of February so that we can send them all of in one go.

Dual Registered Swimmers

Some swimmers will have dual membership by being registered at another club. Once decided upon which club will be listed as their 1st club, they will have to fill in a multi club registration form to confirm their dual registration.
